Worldwide sports stars under attack from HMRC

By December 12, 2014June 14th, 2017No Comments

HMRC has introduced a number of taxes on worldwide sports stars who attend UK events.

A number of sport stars have stayed away from UK events as the Government is set to impose levies on monies from endorsements and bonus related payments.

Sergio Garcia, the acclaimed Spanish golfer, has already said he will only attend one event this year, instead of five in previous years, simply due to the tax situation.

One of the media groups representing a leading sports person has already confirmed the person in question has paid six times more in tax to HMRC than they earned through attending two UK tournaments last year.

Would you come to these shores if you were a leading sports star?!
