Here is a very interesting little article about the taxman accepting defeat in annuity war.
I’ve included the link to the article below for this because this is exactly the sort of thing that might happen if the Revenue have the powers to raid your bank account.
They say anybody owing more than £1,000 in tax or tax credits could see the cash siphoned out of their bank account or even an ISA without their consent. At the moment HMRC have to go to Court to get that but according to this change in the law unveiled in the latest budget, little things stuck in by Mr Osborne, he stuck this in and this is the sort of thing that I mean. That these people are chasing these guys, they are ex-Army so they fought for the country, there they are in their pride and glory bless them.
It says the Revenue told an ex-serviceman it had sent tax codes only to recant – basically told some lies. It’s absolutely disgraceful and shocking but, as I say, there you are.
When will somebody actually deal with this tax system that we’ve got now.
