Wayne Harrison, a 52 year old tax fraudster from Canterbury, has been sentenced to a five year stint in prison for submitting fraudulent VAT repayment claims.


Although he pleaded guilty to two counts of cheating the public revenue, Morrison received the prison time for fraudulently claiming VAT refunds worth over £800,000 his building firms were not entitled to.


Morrison enjoyed the stolen VAT by splashing out on designer jewellery, golfing equipment and even an apartment in Russia!




Stuart Cleveland Price, a 42 year old businessman from Dorset, has this week been arrested and charged with a £1.3m VAT Fraud related to the building trade.


After being charged at Bournemouth Police Station, Price has been bailed until 15th October 2012 when he will appear at Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court.


Investigations by HMRC are ongoing.




A local man to our Wilmslow office has been arrested alongside seven other men across Manchester in raids of residential properties and business addresses.


The 46 year old man from Alderley Edge is suspected of being involved in a £250,000 VAT Fraud and has now been bailed pending further enquiries.
